Southborough Town Council’s Staff and Council Members were saddened to hear the news about the death of H.R.H. Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, on Friday 9th April 2021.  Our Chairman and Mayor of Southborough, Cllr Alain Lewis, has made the following statement on behalf of Southborough Town Council and the people of Southborough & High Brooms.

The Royal Household has requested that members of the public do not leave floral tributes or gather in public places to offer their respects. The Palace has suggested that people could donate to charity instead, if they wish to do so.

No book of condolence is available at Southborough Town Council due to the pandemic and the fact that we are in the midst of moving into the new Southborough Civic Centre.  An online book of condolence is available via Tunbridge Wells Borough Council or at royal.uk.

Tunbridge Wells Gateway will also be happy to receive letters of condolence if people are not able to access the online book of condolence on their website.
