Alan Bullion has lived in the area since 1987. He was brought up in Tonbridge, but attended Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys (TWBG). He was a governor at that school for many years and is still the Chairman of the Alumni Society.
Alan has worked in publishing since leaving the school, working as an Agricultural and Food Policy Journalist for the past 20 years. He studied with the Open University as a mature student, and has also taught courses for the OU for over 20 years. In the past, Alan has stood as a Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate and wrote his PhD thesis on the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka.
As a disabled non-driver, Alan has campaigned vigorously for improved bus services and also more accessible step-free facilities for passengers at High Brooms station, and better surroundings in our public spaces, such as gardens and benches.
