Joe worked for 9 years investigating patients’ complaints within the NHS, and helped solve their problems. Prior to this, Cllr Opara supported families who had limited legal resources to bring their grievances to the NHS. In 2011, Joe authored an article on the rights to organ donation in the UK which was published by the UK Law Reform Council and received an award for his efforts.
