Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926 – 2022

Southborough Town Council’s Staff and Council Members were deeply sad to hear the news about the death of our longest serving monarch, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on Thursday 8th September 2022.

A statement from the Chair of Southborough Town Council, Councillor Dianne Hill:

“Queen Elizabeth II was our longest serving monarch and will always have a special place in the hearts of many.

She was an inspirational woman, who dedicated her life to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.  Admired and loved across the world, we could have asked no more from her – she was ‘Our Queen’.

I, along with Southborough and High Brooms, send my sincere condolences to the Royal Family at this very sad time”.
