Southborough Town Council is looking to recruit a Grounds Person to help maintain and care for Town Council-owned land, including our three recreation grounds: Crundwell Road, Frank Weare and Pennington.
The person we are looking for will need to work well as part of our Grounds Staff Team and be highly flexible and adaptable to the varying tasks required of this role.
A full driving licence is essential, as is experience working in the grounds maintenance sector. This includes experience in play equipment safety, ground and buildings maintenance, together with use of tools and machinery, such as hedge trimmers, mowers etc. Some on the job training will be provided. Relevant qualifications in pesticides and chainsaw work are desirable.
The position is for 37 hours per week, with 22 days holiday allowance.
Salary will be £20,493 (SCP 8) with a six-month probation period.
