SOUTHBOROUGH CIVIC CENTRE
(Formerly the Southborough Hub whilst in development)
The newly named Southborough Civic Centre is located in the heart of Southborough on London Road. It includes a new town square area for people to enjoy and a range of key community services, such as Southborough Library, St Andrew’s Medical Centre and a new pharmacy. There will also be a number of retail units with new shops coming, though these are located within the Crest Housing Development adjacent to the Southborough Civic Centre, but also overlooking the town square. We plan to have an opening event as Covid-19 restrictions allow and will post details on here as soon as we have a confirmed date.
Within the Southborough Civic Centre, there will be spaces for hire, as and when Covid-19 restrictions allow. These include Unity Hall, a large hall/theatre space inc. kitchen/bar area, as well as community rooms: The Bounds Oak Community Room, The Lambersart Community Room and The Brickworks Community Room. We will update the Venues for Hire section of this website as soon as possible. We will also post exterior and interior professional photos of the building on here in due course.
Southborough Town Council officially moved into the Council Offices at 137 London Road in the middle of April, though the full opening of the Council Offices and the facilities for hire has been be dictated by Covid-19 restrictions.
We can now start to welcome you all into the Southborough Civic Centre from 1st September 2021. Public opening hours for the Council Offices will be 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday to Friday. Tours of the building will also commence from 1st September 2021 – the venues will also be available for hire from this date. Our Facilities Team can show you our amazing new building.
Tours are by appointment. To book, call 01892 529176 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
