Dariel Francis moved to Kent 35 years ago and has lived in High Brooms since 2001. After retiring as an Inspector of Taxes, she worked for some years on citizens’ complaints to the Ombudsman. Elected to the Council in 2019, she believes that Southborough and High Brooms is a great community, and wants to help preserve and enhance the town, without destroying its unique history and friendly character.
On 27th April 2021, Dariel became Deputy Mayor of Southborough Town Council. She chairs the Finance Committee, is a Council representative on the Southborough Twinned Town Association, and helps out at the High Brooms Community Larder.
