This recreation ground has something for everyone. The lovely park area offers a safe environment for accompanied children’s play, or space for relaxation with a good book. In the summer, why not bring a picnic?
There is a children’s play area with a variety of play equipment for all ages, including a climbing net for the over 8’s, crazy golf, an outdoor table tennis table, basketball court, together with a selection of outdoor gym equipment.
The two tennis courts in Pennington were renovated in summer of 2023 thanks to our partnership with the LTA who awarded us grand funding for the project. Check our Council Notices page for updates.
To use our tennis courts, you will need to register for an LTA ClubSpark account to make a booking. Please read the Terms of Use and Book A Court guidance carefully.

The Grounds open from 8.00 a.m. daily and close at dusk hours that vary slightly throughout the year.
NO DOGS are permitted within Pennington Grounds.
