Due to repeated acts of vandalism and arson, the public toilets in the park now close at 3.30 p.m. daily.
Furthermore, NO toilet roll is provided.
The Town Council is not happy with the situation but the high incidence of crime in and around the toilets forced this decision. Toilet roll holders were persistently ripped off the wall, toilet paper was rammed down the toilets causing blockages and drain issues, and toilet roll was set alight.
We have been trying to make a number of improvements to the park, as it is an important facility and open space in our community.
We ask that all park users treat the park itself, as well as council staff, with care and respect.
