Council Members approved a first phase installation of CCTV surveillance equipment at Pennington Recreation Ground. This was in response to increased anti-social behaviour and vandalism of various areas of the park.
Cameras will be installed next to the basketball and tennis courts, as well as the public toilets by Pennington Pavilion. The CCTV project will be taking place on the following dates:

Tuesday 13th February 2024

Wednesday 14th February 2024
PARK OPEN – Final day of project
The park has to remain closed on Monday and Tuesday 12th – 13th February 2024 for public safety, as we need to dig a trench across the main pathway. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause, but we hope that this project is one step further towards creating a safer open space for our community.
